Anne, thank you for your 9/10/10 post.
I was going to sign up with another company but took a step back when I came across Hostmonster online. Almost went with them! I won’t advertise for the other company here, but they understand the need for businesses to have ASAP support. Are college kids giving support at Hostmonster? Maybe it was just a one-time fluke.
I do with them the best, though. Go Provo!!

We’re a small company and this is our second year with Hostmonster. The first year was pretty much flaw free, this year however I have recently had many problems with rejected e-mails that have been identified as Spam. Interesting many are regular customers and all of a sudden my e-mails are being blocked by various spam controllers. It’s not my IP address that’s being blocked but those of Hostmonster – and frankly they don’t give a damn! They say it will remove itself within 4 days. In which time I’ve lost the sale. I’ve been in contact with a customer all week negotiating and suddenly their e-mail is blocked – I can’t contact them via e-mail to send important documents!! Hey guys, I’m running a business and cannot wait hours never mind days to be able to send stuff. Get your act together otherwise I change.

Free hosting isn’t always bad. I run a couple of websites and needed a dedicated server for them,I know how bad the economy is right now and my passion for small business. I decided to create a free web host for people. It has all the perks of paid hosting but no cost. I don’t, and do not plan on putting ads on customer’s websites.

I’ve had ups and downs with them, but overall they are a reliable hosting company. The best feature is their fast response rates for their tickets and support.

I’d rate them a 9/10
